Map Features

Aerial, topograhpic, and other types of maps are an important resource in the visualization of your information. HuntSmart big game hunting software gives you the ability to view your information on maps. Once you enter information with coordinates into the system, this information can be viewed on all available maps that contain those coordinates. One thing to remember is that information entered by you is only linked to a map via the coordinates and not to the physical map file itself. For Example, if you wish to delete an old map, the information is NOT deleted or affected in any way. Once you import or use another map that has the necessary coordinates available, the information will show on the new map without any modification from you.

The Map Editor will give you the ability to import new maps, delete old maps, and disable maps. In order to view information on maps, you must have rectified (georeferenced) maps imported into the software. This can be accomplished by importing maps from disk files or from the TerraServer-USA website using this software. Both import methods are simple to use.
