The HuntSmart big game hunting software's “Food Plot” item is used to collect information about game food plots that have been planted in your hunting areas with you having the ability to collect additional detail using sub-items. You can create as many “Food Plot” records as necessary in order to collect your information. However, it is a good idea to create a new “Food Plot” record for each new or existing game food plot for each new season. For example, if you planted a food plot in the prior season and now wish to replant the same food plot the next season, you can 1) use the existing “Food Plot “ record and add additional details, or 2) create a new “Food Plot” record with additional details for the new season in order to keep your history. Also, if a map exists that contains the coordinates you have entered, the record will be viewable on the map.
In order to create a "Food Plot" record, you must load the item into the working area and then click the “Add”
icon, which will display a blank data entry screen as shown in Figure 1. After you have completed the entry of information, click on the “Save” button, which will create and save the new record. If you have an existing record that you wish to edit, you must locate the record in the grid and click on the “Edit”
icon. This action will display the selected record’s information in the entry screen shown in Figure 1.
