(HUNTING SITES)
HuntSmart™

The HuntSmart big game hunting software's “Hunting Site” item is used to collect information on hunting sites for a location and specific area that you will hunt or have hunted using blinds, fix stands, climbing stands, portable stands, etc. You must use the field “Site Description” to describe the site with this description being referenced within the “Harvest” and “Sites Hunted” items under the field name “Hunting Site Used” as shown in Figure 1. For example, if you harvest a wild game animal and create a “Harvest” record, you will be able to select the hunting site used from the field “Hunting Site Used” which displays all available records from the “Hunting Site” item for this location and specific area.

You can create as many “Hunting Site” records as necessary in order to collect your information. It is recommended that you create a new “Hunting Site” record with coordinates for each individual site in order to visualize the information on available maps. However, the approach you use to collect and enter information is totally up to you. Also, if a map exist that contains the coordinates you have entered, the record will be viewable on the map.

In order to create a "Hunting Site" record, you must load the item into the working area and then click the “Add” icon, which will display a blank data entry screen as shown in Figure 2. After you have completed the entry of information, click on the “Save” button, which will create and save the new record. If you have an existing record that you wish to edit, you must locate the record in the grid and click on the “Edit” icon. This action will display the selected record’s information in the entry screen shown in Figure 2.
