The HuntSmart big game hunting software's “Hunting Log” item is used to collect information about a Hunting trip that lasted a consecutive period of time for a specific location, season, and rut phase. It is a good idea to create a new “Hunting Log” record when the location, season, rut phase, or time period changes.

In order to create a "Hunting Log" record, you must load the "Hunting Log" item into the working area and then click the “Add” icon, which will display a blank data entry screen as shown in Figure 1. After you have completed the entry of information, click on the “Save” button, which will create and save the new record. If you have an existing "Hunting Log" record that you wish to edit, you must locate the record in the grid and click on the “Edit” icon. This action will display the selected record’s information in the entry screen shown in Figure 1.

The "Hunting Log" item includes sub-items to collect additional information about your hunting trip. You can create as many records as necessary to collect your information.
