The HuntSmart big game hunting software's “Scouting Log” item is used to collect information about a scouting trip that lasted a consecutive period of time for a specific location and season. It is a good idea to create a new “Scouting Log” record when the location, season, or time period changes.
In order to create a "Scouting Log" record, you must load the "Scouting Log" item into the working area and then click the “Add”
icon, which will display a blank data entry screen as shown in Figure 1. After you have completed the entry of information, click on the “Save” button, which will create and save the new record. If you have an existing Scouting Log record that you wish to edit, you must locate the record in the grid and click on the “Edit”
icon. This action will display the selected record’s information in the entry screen shown in Figure 1.

The "Scouting Log" item includes sub-items to collect additional information about your scouting trip. You can create as many records as necessary to collect your information.
