(WEAPONS)
HuntSmart™

The HuntSmart big game hunting software's “Weapon” item is used to collect information about weapons you or others use to hunt wild game. You must use the field “Weapon Description” to describe the weapon with this description being referenced within the “Harvest” and “Sites Hunted” items under the field name “Weapon Used” as shown in Figure 1. For example, if you harvest a wild game animal and create a “Harvest” record, you will be able to select the weapon used from the field “Weapon Used” which displays all available records from the “Weapons” item.

(Figure 1)

You can create as many “Weapon” records as necessary in order to collect your information. It is a good idea to create a new “Weapon” record for each weapon used. However, the approach you use to collect and enter information is totally up to you. Also, if a map exists that contains the coordinates you have entered, the record will be viewable on the map.

In order to create a "Weapon" record, you must load the item into the working area and then click the “Add” icon, which will display a blank data entry screen as shown in Figure 1. After you have completed the entry of information, click on the “Save” button, which will create and save the new record. If you have an existing record that you wish to edit, you must locate the record in the grid and click on the “Edit” icon. This action will display the selected record’s information in the entry screen shown in Figure 1.
