Software activation gives you the option to activate the HuntSmart big game hunting software or to run the software in trial mode. If you do not activate the software, the “Software Activation” screen as shown in Figure 1 will be shown each time the software is run. However, you will only be able to run the software in trial mode thirty(30) times before the software is disabled.

If you have purchased the HuntSmart big game hunting software, a Product-Key, User-ID, and Password will be made available to you in order to activate the software. Once you have entered the required information, you can activate the software by clicking on the “Automatic Activation” or “Manual Activation” buttons as shown in Figure 1.

Automatic Activation
This option for software activation is the easyest to use. Once you have entered the required information, click on the "Automatic Activation" button which will automatically activate the software without further action from you. However, this option does require an active Internet connection in order to work. Be sure that you are connected to the Internet.

Manual Activation
This option requires you to retrieve a license key by using a web browser. You must first get your Machine-ID by click on the "Manual Activation" button (Figure 1) to display the "Manual Software Activation" screen as shown in Figure 2. Next, go to address www.HuntingSouth.com/getlickey.html. This webpage will require you to enter your Product-Key, User-ID, Password, and Machine-ID.

Once a license key has been successfully generated, you must copy and paste the license key into the “Manual Software Activation” screen as shown in Figure 2 by click on the “Enter License Key” button. This will clear and enable the license key entry area and will allow the entry or pasting of the license key. Once the license key is entered, click within the machine-ID area and then click on the “Manual Activation” button in order to validate the license key. If the license key is good, the HuntSmart big game hunting software will be activated. If the license is not good, the software will try to start in trial mode.

Verify License Activation
You can verify if the software has been activated or is running in trial mode by clicking on the main menu item “Help”, then “About”. If the software has been activated, the product key and license key will be display as shown in Figure 3.

Verify Trial Mode
If the software is running in trial mode, the product key will display the words TRIAL MODE as shown in Figure 4.
